Our History

One day the Lord spoke to Pastor Jasso about being in Laredo, Texas. The Lord spoke that they needed to be salt of the land where he and his kinfolks were but that He would bless him richly in another place. Wanting a good place for their children, the Pastors Jasso thought primarily about Oklahoma, a place where having his family would be fantastic. Then they decided Austin, Texas, a university place where their children could study.

They had already put deposits down on an apartment to live in when they felt that this decision was not right. They asked about getting the deposit back and was given it along with a statment that this is not always the case.

Pastor Jasso had a friend who had invited them to come to Houston to live. His wife encouraged this to be a last option because it was dangerous to live here. To everyone's surprise Houston was their area that they were to remain in. While temporarily in Houston three different people (2 of them real estate agents) indicated that Tomball was a good place to live.

Without knowing anyone either in Houston or in Tomball, they were obedient to the voice of God since His promise was good. Without any doubt God has been faithful.

Beginning without anything and alone with their family when times were tough to maintain the family and the prospective church they sold tamales, they scraped, and they worked hard to make it. God has been good and we have prospered down the road that He has promised.

Thanks to God that La Hermosa, "The Beautiful One", is a beautiful temple, that has the capacity for a thousand people, annexes for all the groups of Sunday school and departments of the church and ample parking. And God continues blessing this church.

Your presence will fill us with happiness and you will feel it as well in this church . We have a congregation that is precious and full of love. It is a pleasure visiting here in part of the beautiful and precious family from La Hermosa Church in Tomball, Texas.
